Today, we had a penny’s class. Nowadays, she is teaching English Literature and Area study of English speaking world for our HTT members.
(* In University of Warwick. we, Hiroshima students are called HTT, which means Hiroshima Teachers Trainee)

However, today’s main is about comparing English and Japanese Education system. We learnt some of English Education system. For example, the core subjects are English, Science, and Mathematics. And, they, British government will add ICT.

Then, what is ICT? (some didn’t know this)
ICT means Information & Communication Technology.
Recently, many people are starting to use technology in classes. In some classes in Japan, there is a big TV called electronic blackboard. We can use this as a way of teaching. They sometimes use in English classes: they show some pictures and make blanks on the screen. When students say answers of the picture, teachers (or of course students) can write directly on the board. This is really useful thing, I think. Not only this but also we use the video from Youtube, TED, and so on, and show via computer and projector.

As the progress of technology, we should be more careful about students’ use of computers. It can include mobile or smart phone. These things can lead students to start bullying called “Cyber Bulling”.
Anyway, TGIF! Tomorrow, we will visit South England. I can hardly wait!
